Fertilizer exports grew well in first 3 months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first 3 months of 2025, fertilizer exports reached 600,835 tonnes, worth of 225.38 million USD, up by 20.2% in volume, up by 8.5% in value compared to the first 3 months of 2024.
According to the preliminary data from the General Department of Customs, in March of 2025, Vietnam exported 266,682 tonnes of fertilizer, worth of 90.92 million USD, with an average price of 340.9 USD/tonne, up by 42.7% in volume, up by 23.1% in turnover but down by 13.8% in price compared to February of 2025. In comparison to March of 2024, it also increased sharply by 79.2% in volume, up by 44.9% in turnover but down by 19.2% in price.
In the first 3 months of 2025, fertilizer exports reached 600,835 tonnes, worth of 225.38 million USD, with an average price of 375.1 USD/tonne, up by 20.2% in volume, up by 8.5% in value but down by 9.8% in price compared to the first 3 months of 2024. Cambodian market was leading the list of the country’s main fertilizer export markets, accounting for 23.6% in volume and 19.2% in value of the country's total fertilizer exports, reaching 141,621 tonnes, worth of 43.16 million USD, with an average price of 304.8 USD/tonne; increased by 36.8% in volume, increased by 1.6% in value but decreased by 25.7% in price compared to the first 3 months of 2024.
The second place was the South Korean market with 83,804 tonnes, worth of 33.54 million USD, the average price was 400.2 USD/tonne; increased by 21.6% in volume, increased by 15.9% in turnover but decreased by 4.6% in price. The next was the Malaysian market with 45,138 tonnes, worth 17.9 million USD, average price 396.6 USD/tonne; increased by 40.6% in volume, increased by 63.4% in turnover and increased by 16.2% in price.
Notably, fertilizer exports to Laos continued to increase sharply over the same period, up 143.3% in volume and 299.8% in value, reaching 20,027 tonnes, worth 7.02 million USD; exports to Taiwan also increased sharply by over 102% in both volume and value, reaching 27,094 tonnes, worth 11.47 million USD.
