In the Mekong Delta, market activity remained low, with supply limited and prices for some types of raw rice and fresh paddy showing mixed movements compared to yesterday. Specifically, according to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang Province:

•           Raw rice prices:

o          5451 variety decreased by 50 VND/kg to 9,600 - 9,750 VND/kg.

o          OM 380: 7,800 - 7,900 VND/kg.

o          IR 504: 7,900 - 8,000 VND/kg.

•           Finished rice prices:

o          OM 380: 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg.

o          IR 504: 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

By-product prices ranged from 6,600 to 9,000 VND/kg, with 3-4 grade broken rice increasing by 100 VND to 6,650 - 6,800 VND/kg, and rice bran at 8,000 - 9,000 VND/kg.

Market activities:

•           Trading was slow across provinces like An Giang, Đồng Tháp (Lấp Vò), Tiền Giang (An Cư), and Sa Đéc.

•           Retail rice prices were mostly stable compared to yesterday, though regular rice rose by 500 VND/kg, reaching 15,500 - 16,000 VND/kg.

•           Specialty rice prices: Nàng Nhen at 28,000 VND/kg, Thai fragrant long-grain rice at 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg, Jasmine rice at 18,000 - 20,000 VND/kg, and Japanese rice at 22,000 VND/kg.

Fresh paddy prices:

•           OM 5451 (fresh) increased by 200 VND to 6,200 - 6,400 VND/kg.

•           IR 50404: 5,800 - 6,000 VND/kg.

•           Dai Thom 8: 6,800 - 7,000 VND/kg.

•           OM 380: 5,800 - 6,000 VND/kg.

•           OM 18: 6,800 - 6,900 VND/kg.

•           Nang Hoa 9: 6,550 - 6,750 VND/kg.

Across many regions like Sóc Trăng, Bạc Liêu, An Giang, and Cần Thơ, fresh paddy supply is shrinking, transactions are slow, and prices, especially for fragrant rice, are holding steady.

Export market:

•           According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA):

o          5% broken rice: 399 USD/ton (unchanged).

o          25% broken rice: 369 USD/ton (down 1 USD).

o          100% broken rice: 317 USD/ton (up 1 USD).
