Footwear exports reached over 3.47 billion USD in two months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - According to preliminary statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, footwear export turnover in the first two months of 2025 reached over 3.47 billion USD, an increase of 10.2% compared to the first two months of 2024.
In February of 2025 alone, the export turnover of this group of goods reached 1.57 billion USD, down by 17.3% compared to January of 2025 but up by 33.4% compared to February of 2024.
Among many footwear export markets, the US achieved the largest turnover of 1.29 billion USD, accounting for 37.3% of the total export turnover of this group of goods nationwide, up by 16.1% compared to the first two months of 2024. The country’s exports of footwear to the US in February of 2025 alone reached 586.18 million USD, down by 17.1% compared to January of 2025 but up by 37.6% compared to February of 2024.
The Chinese market ranked second in turnover, reaching over 289.11 million USD, accounting for 8.3%, down by 9.2%. The country’s exports of footwear to China in February of 2025 alone reached 157.12 million USD, up by 18.9% compared to January of 2025 and up by 14.3% compared to February of 2024. The next was the Dutch market, accounting for 7.3% of the total turnover, reaching 252.27 million USD, up by 25.8% compared to the first 2 months of 2024.
Meanwhile, footwear exports to Japan accounted for 6.2%, reaching 216.01 million USD, up by 18.9% and to the EU market in the first two months of 2025 reached nearly 804.47 billion USD, accounting for 23.2%, up by 5.8%.
