Exports of some agricultural products in first 2 months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - According to the preliminary statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, in the first 2 months of 2025, Vietnam’s coffee exports decreased by 22.4% in volume, but increased by 37.2% in turnover and increased by 76.7% in price compared to the first 2 months of 2024.

Meanwhile, pepper exports in the first 2 months of 2025 reached 27,274 tonnes, equivalent to nearly 184.45 million USD, with an average price of 6,762.8 USD/tonne, down by 11.8% in volume, but up by 48.4% in turnover and up by 68.2% in price compared to the first 2 months of 2024.
Cashew exports in the first 2 months of 2025 reached 66,390 tonnes, equivalent to over 455.38 million USD.
Vietnam's coffee export markets in the first 2 months of 2025
According to preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs, in February 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports increased by 26.7% in volume, 32.3% in value and 4.4% in price compared to January of 2025, reaching 169,832 tonnes, equivalent to 964.31 million USD, with an average price of 5,678 USD/tonne. In the first 2 months of 2025, coffee exports decreased by 22.4% in volume, but increased by 37.2% in value and 76.7% in price compared to the first 2 months of 2024, reaching 309,505 tonnes, equivalent to over 1.72 billion USD, with an average price of 5,561 USD/tonne.
Vietnam's coffee exports to Germany were the largest in the first two months of 2025, accounting for over 16% of the country's total coffee export volume and turnover, reaching 50,692 tonnes, equivalent to 278.96 million USD, priced at 5,503 USD/tonne, a slight increase of 0.05% in volume, but a sharp increase of 79.3% in turnover and an increase of 79.2% in price compared to the first two months of 2024; in February 2025 alone, exports reached 27,430 tonnes, equivalent to 157.73 million USD, priced at 5,750 USD/tonne, an increase of 17.9% in volume, 30.2% in turnover and 10.4% in price compared to January 2025. Coffee exports to Italy ranked second in the market, down 26.3% in volume, but up by 31.6% in turnover and up 78.7% in price compared to the first 2 months of 2024, reaching 32,605 tonnes, equivalent to 171.15 million USD, price 5,249 USD/tonne, accounting for 10.5% of the total volume and 9.9% of the total coffee export turnover of the country.
Coffee exports to the Japanese market decreased 11.6% in volume, but increased 55.8% in turnover and increased 76.2% in price compared to the first 2 months of 2024, reaching 20,706 tonnes, equivalent to 127.61 million USD, average price 6,163 USD/tonne, accounting for 6.7% of the total volume and 7.4% of the total turnover.

According to statistics from the General Department of Customs, pepper exports in the first 2 months of 2025 reached 27,274 tonnes, equivalent to nearly 184.45 million USD, with an average price of 6,762.8 USD/tonne, down by 11.8% in volume, but up by 48.4% in turnover and up 68.2% in price compared to the first 2 months of 2024.
In February of 2025 alone, the country’s pepper exports were estimated to reach 14,345 tonnes, equivalent to 97.17 million USD, with an average price of 6,774 USD/tonne, up by 10.7% in volume, up by 11% in turnover and up by 0.3% in price compared to January of 2025. Compared to February of 2024, it increased by 6.7% in volume, increased sharply by 78.4% in turnover and increased by 67.3% in price. Pepper exported to the US market accounted for 21.6% of the total volume and 24.4% of the total export turnover of this commodity group of the country, reaching 5,894 tonnes, equivalent to over 44.94 million USD, with an average price of 7,624 USD/tonne, down by 32.5% in volume but up 23% in turnover and up 82.3% in price compared to the first 2 months of 2024. In February of 2025 alone, 3,064 tonnes of pepper were exported to the US, equivalent to 23.21 million USD, with a price of 7,575 USD/tonne, up by 8.3% in volume, up by 6.8% in turnover but down by 1.4% in price compared to January of 2025. Compared to February of 2024, it decreased by 21.5% in volume, but increased by 40.6% in turnover and increased by 79% in price.
German market ranked second with 2,645 tonnes of pepper, earning 19.12 million USD, up 53% in volume and 136% in turnover over the same period; exported to the Indian market 1,727 tonnes, equivalent to 12.43 million USD, down by 22% in volume but up 41.4% in turnover; exported to South Korea was 1,202 tonnes, equivalent to 7.86 million USD, up by 0.8% in volume and up by 59.4% in turnover.
Vietnam's cashew nut export markets in the first 2 months of 2025
According to statistics from the General Department of Customs, cashew nut exports in the first 2 months of 2025 reached 66,390 tonnes, equivalent to over 455.38 million USD, with an average price of 6,859 USD/tonne, down by 27.6% in volume, down 7.7% in turnover but up by 27.6% in price compared to the first 2 months of 2024.
In February of 2025 alone, the country’s exports of cashew nuts were estimated to reach 28,848 tonnes, equivalent to 199.64 million USD, with an average price of 6,929 USD/tonne, down by 22.8% in volume, down by 21.5% in turnover but up by 1.7% in price compared to January of 2025. Compared to February of 2024, it increased by 8.5% in volume, 40.7% in turnover and 29.7% in price.
Cashew nuts exported to the US market accounted for 23.1% of the total volume and 22.7% of the total export turnover of this commodity group of the country, reaching 15,332 tonnes, equivalent to over 103.56 million USD, down by 33.4% in volume and down by 14.6% in turnover compared to the first 2 months of 2024, but the export price to this market increased by 28.2%, reaching an average of 6,754.5 USD/tonne. In February of 2025 alone, 6,963 tonnes of cashew nuts were exported to the US, equivalent to 48.71 million USD, priced at 6,995.6 USD/tonne, down by 17.1% in volume, down by 11.6% in turnover but up by 6.7% in price compared to January of 2025. Compared to February of 2024, it also decreased by 6% in volume, but increased by 23.1% in turnover and increased by 30.9% in price.
The Dutch market ranked second with 7,237 tonnes of cashew nuts, earning 50.78 million USD, up by 14.7% in volume and by 43.1% in turnover over the same period last year; then the Chinese market 6,932 tonnes, equivalent to 44.56 million USD, down sharply by 56% in volume and 50.4% in turnover; and the U.A.E with 2,599 tonnes, equivalent to 19.48 million USD, down by 38.4% in volume and by 16.4% in turnover.
