AsemconnectVietnam - According to the statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's export turnover to Russia in the first 2 months of 2025 reached 346.6 million USD, down by 6.2% over the same period last year.

Coffee led the export turnover in the first 2 months of 2025, reaching 94.1 million USD, up by 32.2% over the same period last year. The next was textiles and garments, reaching 87.8 million USD, down by 26.7%, accounting for 25.3% of the export proportion.
In the first 2 months of 2025, some export items grew compared to the same month last year, such as pepper increased by 52.7%; tea increased by 32.6%; toys, sports equipment and parts increased by 247.1%; footwear of all kinds increased by 304.1%: iron and steel of all kinds increased by 33.5%.
The rapid increase in trade turnover between Vietnam and Russia is mainly due to the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (Vietnam - EAEU FTA), creating favorable conditions for businesses of the two countries to strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation.
This agreement is having a positive effect on bilateral trade in which the Russian Federation and Vietnam are two active members. The agreement is a huge boost for Vietnam's exports, helping to diversify markets and export products, especially agricultural and aquatic products, food as well as Vietnamese products with many competitive advantages.
