Vietnam’s fertilizer exports in first two months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first two months of 2025, fertilizer exports reached 334,152 tonnes, worth of 134.46 million USD, down by 5.1% in volume, down by 7.5% in value compared to the first two months of 2024.
According to the preliminary data from the General Department of Customs, in February of 2025, Vietnam exported 186,876 tonnes of fertilizer, worth of 73.87 million USD, with an average price of 395.3 USD/tonne, up by 26.7% in volume, up by 21.7% in turnover but down by 4% in price compared to January of 2025. In comparison to February of 2024, it also increased by 8.8% in volume, up by 1.9% in turnover but down by 6.4% in price.
In the first two months of 2025, fertilizer exports reached 334,152 tonnes, worth of 134.46 million USD, with an average price of 402.4 USD/tonne, down by 5.1% in volume, down by 7.5% in turnover and down by 2.6% in price compared to the first two months of 2024.
Vietnam's fertilizer exports were mostly to the Cambodian market, accounting for 24.9% in volume and 21.4% in turnover of the country's total fertilizer exports, reaching 83,023 tonnes, worth of 28.79 million USD, with an average price of 346.8 USD/tonne; increased by 22.9% in volume, increased by 2.9% in value but decreased by 16.3% in price compared to the first 2 months of 2024.
The second place was the South Korean market with 69,762 tonnes, worth of 27.14 million USD, the average price was 389 USD/tonne; increased by 14.9% in volume, increased by 7.7% in turnover but decreased by 6.3% in price. The next was the Malaysian market with 33,059 tonnes, worth of 13.06 million USD, average price 395 USD/tonne; increased by 47.5% in volume, increased by 76.5% in turnover and increased by 19.7% in price.
Notably, although the volume of fertilizer exports to Laos was not large, but compared to the same period last year, it increased sharply, up by 350% in volume, up by 676% in turnover, reaching 11,812 tonnes, worth of 4.32 million USD; while the exports to Taiwan also increased sharply by 178.3% in volume, up by 181% in turnover, reaching 18,469 tonnes, worth of 7.64 million USD.
