Vietnam's agricultural, forestry and fishery exports in first 2 months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - According to Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Vietnam's agricultural, forestry and fishery export turnover in the first two months of 2025 reached 9.38 billion USD, up by 8.3% over the same period of 2024.

Of which, the export value of agricultural products reached 4.89 billion USD, up by 4.5%.
Notably, many agricultural products that recorded very strong growth. Specifically, the total volume and value of coffee exports in the first two months of 2025 reached 284,000 tonnes and reached 1.58 billion USD, down by 28.4% in volume but up by 26.2% in value compared to the same period of 2024.
The average export price of coffee in the first two months of 2025 was estimated at 5,574.5 USD/tonne, up by 76.3% over the same period of 2024. This year, coffee exports are expected to reach 6 billion USD. The export value of aquatic products in the first two months of 2025 reached 1.42 billion USD, up by 18.6%; the export value of forestry products reached 2.68 billion USD, up by 11.9%.
The volume and value of rubber exports in the first two months of 2025 reached 280,600 tonnes worth of 532.9 million USD, down by 5.9% in volume but up by 24.8% in value compared to the same period of 2024.
The total volume and value of pepper exports in the first two months of 2025 reached 28,000 tonnes and 188.7 million USD, down by 9.4% in volume but up by 51.9% in value compared to the same period of 2024.
However, the total export value of vegetables and fruits in the first two months of 2025 reached 724.5 million USD, down by 11% compared to the same period of 2024. In addition, the total volume and value of rice exports in the first two months of 2025 reached 1.1 million tonnes worth of 613 million USD, up by 5.9% in volume but down 13.6% in value compared to the same period in 2024.
Thus, most agricultural export industries maintained growth momentum and had surplusin the first 2 months of this year.
