Post and Telecommunication Insurance (PTI) issues nearly 40.2 million shares to increase capital

AsemconnectVietnam - Post and Telecommunication Insurance Corporation (stock code: PTI) said that it has issued nearly 40.2 million shares to existing shareholders from equity capital, at a ratio of 2:1 to increase charter capital.
After completing the share issuance, PTI's charter capital increased from VND804 billion to more than VND1,200 billion. The total number of shares after the issuance (January 20, 2025) is nearly 120.6 million shares. This is the capital increase plan approved by the 2024 General Meeting of Shareholders.
It is known that the Board of Directors previously submitted to shareholders a plan to issue shares to increase charter capital from equity capital according to 2 plans. Option 1, PTI will issue nearly 80.4 million additional shares from equity capital at a ratio of 1:1, with a par value of VND10,000/share, the total expected issuance value at par value is nearly VND804 billion. Option 2, PTI will issue nearly 40.2 million additional shares from equity capital at a ratio of 2:1, the total expected issuance value is nearly VND402 billion. In addition, PTI will also offer nearly 80.4 million shares to existing shareholders and issue 80.4 million bonus shares, increasing charter capital by 3 times to VND3,216 billion if possible in the most ideal case. Currently, PTI's charter capital is VND804 billion. However, shareholders only approved the plan to issue shares to increase the Corporation's charter capital at an issuance ratio of 2:1 with the expected number of shares issued being 40,197,854 shares.
According to the 2024 financial report, PTI's after-tax profit was VND324 billion, an increase of 28% compared to the previous year, gross profit from insurance business increased.
