Sao Ta (FMC): Revenue increased by 85% in February

AsemconnectVietnam - Sao Ta Food JSC (code FMC) has just announced its production and business results for February 2025 with sales growing by 85% compared to the same period last year, but down 19% compared to the first month of the year.

In February 2025, Sao Ta's finished shrimp production output reached 1,913 tons, equal to 206% over the same period last year, and finished shrimp consumption output reached 1,806 tons, equal to 184% over the same period last year.
Meanwhile, finished agricultural products reached 67 tons in production output and 96 tons in consumption output, respectively equal to 106% and 109% over the same period last year.
In total, Sao Ta's February 2025 revenue reached approximately USD21 million, up 85% over the same period last year. However, compared to January's revenue of USD25.9 million, the Company's revenue in February decreased by nearly 19%. Accumulated in the first 2 months of the year, Sao Ta's revenue reached USD46.9 million.
Regarding the shrimp farming situation, Sao Ta said that it has completed harvesting shrimp in the new farming area and is harvesting shrimp in the old farming area. The harvested shrimp is timely supplemented for FMC processing plants, creating peace of mind in planning to speed up processing and increase efficiency.
According to the 2024 operating report, Sao Ta processed more than 25.8 thousand tons of finished shrimp and consumed 22.2 thousand tons, up 22% and 27% respectively over the previous year. The Company's revenue reached USD250.9 million, up 25% over the previous year.
Thanks to that, in 2024, Sao Ta brought in VND6,913 billion in net revenue, an increase of 36% compared to 2023. Accordingly, profit after tax reached VND423 billion, an increase of 40% compared to the previous year.
In the fourth quarter of 2024 alone, Sao Ta announced its financial report with net revenue recorded at VND1,364 billion, an increase of 9% compared to the same period last year. Net profit reached VND110 billion, a sharp increase of 34%, marking the highest level since the third quarter of 2022.
In the explanatory report, Sao Ta said that Khang An Food had new products with very good prices and boosted sales in the fourth quarter, contributing to an increase in consolidated profit after tax.
