 Friday, February 28,2025

AsemconnectVietnam - According to the statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's export turnover to France in January of 2025 reached 360.9 million USD, up by 23.2% compared to the previous month.

In recent years, France has always been one of Vietnam's leading trade partners in the EU.
Phones of all kinds and components were the group of goods with the largest export turnover to the French market in the first month of 2025, reaching 78.9 million USD, up by 363.1% compared to the previous month, accounting for 21.8% of the export proportion. The next was footwear of all kinds reaching 54.8 million USD, up by 11.7% compared to the previous month and up by 8.7% compared to the same month last year, accounting for 15.2% of the export proportion.
In January of 2025, some export items to France had an increase in export turnover compared to the previous month, such as means of transport and spare parts increased by 191.4%; coffee increased by 90.6%; confectionery and cereal products increased by 23.4%; iron and steel products increased by 26.4%; rubber increased by 51%.
Imported agricultural products and food account up to 20% of annual domestic consumption in France. Although it is the second largest ocean power in the world, according to data, nearly 2/3 of shrimp and fish consumed in France are imported. At the same time, more than half of vegetables and fruits consumed in France are imported.
In addition to the reason due to the continuous decrease in cultivated area, another important reason is the constant increase in market demand for imported fruit juices and fruits (such as avocado, mango, dragon fruit, etc.).
