AsemconnectVietnam - Dong Nai Port JSC (code PDN) has just announced that it will pay the first dividend in 2024, the record date is March 10.
Dong Nai Port will pay a cash dividend at a rate of 20% (each share receives VND2,000). The expected payment date is April 1, 2025.
With more than 37 million shares in circulation, the total amount to be paid this time is estimated at about VND74 billion. Previously, at the Company's 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, the 2024 profit distribution plan was approved at a rate of 40%.
In PDN's shareholder structure, Industrial Park Development Corporation (Sonadezi, code SNZ) is the largest shareholder and parent company of PDN with a 51% ownership ratio, expected to receive nearly VND37.8 billion from this dividend payment.
Regarding the business situation in 2024, Dong Nai Port recorded net revenue of VND1,337 billion, an increase of 14.6% compared to 2023. After deducting expenses and taxes, the enterprise's after-tax profit reached more than VND347 billion, an increase of 18% over the same period.
The company said that the increase in revenue in 2024 is due to the development of complete infrastructure connecting inter-provincial and inter-regional transport in the Southern Key Economic Zone, which is increasingly focused on facilitating the circulation of goods. In addition, traditional sources of goods such as alumina, wood pellets and units renting commercial warehouses for chemicals and coal serving the factory have stable output compared to the same period, causing the container and general goods industries to increase compared to the previous year.
Regarding the plan to organize the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, Dong Nai Port plans to hold the meeting on April 24, 2025, the location and content of the meeting will be announced by the Company later.
