AsemconnectVietnam - According to the statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, the export turnover of Vietnamese goods to the UK market in January of 2025 reached 713.9 million USD, up by 17.8% compared to the previous month and down by 8.5% compared to the same period last year.

The leading export item in January of 2025 was the group of phones of all kinds and components reaching 169.6 million USD, up by 789.5% compared to the previous month and down by 24.9% compared to the same month last year, accounting for 23.7% of the export proportion. The next was the group of other machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts reaching 102.4 million USD, down by 12.4% compared to the previous month and down by 32.5% compared to the same period last year, accounting for 14.3% of the export proportion.
In January of 2025, some items had a significant increase in export turnover compared to the same period last year, including computers, electronic products and components increased by 62.9%; pepper increased by 112.3%; electric wires and cables increased by 79.6%.
To be able to take advantage of the opportunities brought about by the Vietnam-UK Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA), Vietnamese enterprises need to ensure that their products and production processes meet British standards.
