AsemconnectVietnam - According to the calculations from preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, in 2024, machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts were the third largest commodity group in terms of turnover (after computers, electronics and telephones), with a turnover of over 52.19 billion USD, an increase of 21.02% compared to 2023.

Of which, in December of 2024 alone, the country’s exports of machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts reached nearly 4.39 billion USD, down by 6.33% compared to November of 2024 but up by 14.64% compared to December of 2023.
The group of machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts accounted for 12.87% of the total export turnover of all kinds of goods nationwide. The largest market was the US with over 22.05 billion USD, an increase of 21.16% compared to 2023 and accounting for 42.25% of the total export turnover of this group of goods nationwide. It was followed by the Chinese market reaching nearly 3.37 billion USD, accounting for 6.45%, an increase of 11.78% compared to 2023; South Korea reached 3.26 billion USD (accounting for 6.25%, an increase of 18.3%); and Japan with nearly 2.77 billion USD (accounting for 5.3%, a slight increase of 0.67%)
