Coffee export turnover increased by 32.5% in 2024

AsemconnectVietnam - In 2024, coffee exports decreased by 17.1% in volume, but increased by 32.5% in turnover and increased by 59.9% in price compared to 2023.
According to the preliminary statistics figures of the General Department of Customs, in December of 2024, Vietnam's coffee exports increased sharply by 102.6% in volume, increased by 95.2% in turnover but decreased by 3.6% compared to November of 2024, reaching 127,655 tonnes, equivalent to 686.56 million USD, with an average price of 5,378 USD/tonne.
In 2024, coffee exports decreased by 17.1% in volume, but increased by 32.5% in value and 59.9% in price compared to 2023, reaching 1.35 million tonnes, equivalent to over 5.62 billion USD, with an average price of 4,178 USD/tonne. Vietnamese coffee was exported to the German market the most in 2024, accounting for 11.6% of the total volume and 10.7% of the total coffee export turnover of the country, reaching 155,703 tonnes, equivalent to 602.89 million USD, with a price of 3,872 USD/tonne, down by 20.6% in volume, but up by 31.6% in value and up by 65.8% in price compared to 2023.
In December of 2024 alone, the country’s exports of coffee to Germany reached 13,492 tonnes, equivalent to 67.29 million USD, priced at 4,987 USD/tonne, a sharp increase of 134.8% in volume, up by 127.7% in turnover but a decrease of 3% in price compared to November of 2024.
Coffee exports to Italy ranked second in the market, down by 12.4% in volume, but up by 41.3% in turnover and by 61.3% in price compared to 2023, reaching 124,541 tonnes, equivalent to 459.6 million USD, priced at 3,690 USD/tonne, accounting for 9.3% of the total volume and 8.2% of the total coffee export turnover of the country.
Coffee exports to the Spanish market increased by 11.9% in volume, by 75.4% in value and by 56.7% in price compared to 2023, reaching 102,099 tonnes, equivalent to 444.84 million USD, with an average price of 4,357 USD/tonne, accounting for nearly 8% of the total volume and total value.
