AsemconnectVietnam - According to Kinhtedothi, as of February 12, domestic rice prices had been slightly adjusted, with some varieties increasing by 100 VND/kg. The trading market has become more active, and a steady rice supply has arrived.
Rice prices in the Mekong Delta region have remained mostly stable, with slight increases in some fresh rice varieties compared to yesterday. According to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang Province, the current rice prices are as follows:
Rice Prices:
- 5451 Raw Rice: 8,850 - 9,050 VND/kg
- OM 380 Raw Rice: 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg
- OM 380 Finished Rice: 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg
- IR 504 Raw Rice: 7,700 - 7,800 VND/kg
- IR 504 Finished Rice: 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg
By-product Prices:
- Broken Rice: 7,100 - 7,300 VND/kg
- 3-4% Broken Rice: 5,600 - 5,800 VND/kg
- Dried Bran: 5,200 - 5,350 VND/kg (up 50 VND/kg compared to the weekend)
Fresh Rice Prices:
- OM 5451: 5,800 - 6,100 VND/kg (up 100 VND/kg)
- IR 50404 (fresh): 5,400 - 5,600 VND/kg
- Dai Thom 8: 6,600 - 6,800 VND/kg
- OM 380: 6,600 - 6,700 VND/kg
- OM 18: 6,500 - 6,700 VND/kg
- Japanese Rice: 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg
- Nang Hoa 9: 9,200 VND/kg
Local Market Situation:
Rice trading has shown improvement in several localities:
- Lap Vo (Dong Thap): Limited supply, stable prices across varieties, fragrant rice remains scarce, and warehouses are actively purchasing.
- Sa Dec (Dong Thap): Moderate supply, slight decrease in some loose rice prices.
- Sa Dec Market (Dong Thap): Limited supply, warehouses maintain firm purchasing prices.
- An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang): Moderate supply, stable prices.
Retail Market Prices:
Retail rice prices remain stable compared to yesterday:
- Regular Rice: 16,000 - 17,000 VND/kg
- Nang Nhen Rice: 28,000 VND/kg (highest price)
- Thai Long-Grain Fragrant Rice: 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg
- Huong Lai Rice: 22,000 VND/kg
- Jasmine Fragrant Rice: 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg
- Common White Rice: 17,000 VND/kg
- Nang Hoa Rice: 22,000 VND/kg
- Taiwan Fragrant Rice: 21,000 VND/kg
- Regular Soc Rice: 18,000 VND/kg
- Soc Thai Rice: 21,000 VND/kg
- Japanese Rice: 22,000 VND/kg
Fresh Rice Market Trends:
- Hau Giang: Steady trade for Winter-Spring rice, stable prices.
- Dong Thap: Farmers are actively offering Winter-Spring rice, with firm prices and cautious transactions.
- Kien Giang: Traders are surveying rice availability, with minimal price fluctuations.
- An Giang: Farmers are offering rice at stable prices, with moderate trading activity.
- Can Tho: Moderate trading in Winter-Spring rice, minimal price changes from yesterday.
Export Market:
Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged from yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA):
- 5% Broken Rice: 399 USD/ton
- 25% Broken Rice: 371 USD/ton
- 100% Broken Rice: 313 USD/ton
Overall, the domestic rice market is showing positive signs, with stable prices and increased trading activity.
