According to the preliminary statistics figures of the General Department of Customs, Vietnam’s textile and garment exports in December of 2024 increased by 10.6% compared to November of 2024 and increased by 16.2% compared to December of 2023, reaching over 3.37 billion USD. In 2024, the total export turnover of the country reached nearly 37.04 billion USD, an increase of 11.2% compared to 2023.
Vietnam's textile and garment exports to the US always ranked first in terms of export turnover, reaching over 16.15 billion USD, accounting for 43.6% of the total export turnover of textile and garment products of the country, an increase of 11.7% compared to 2023. In December of 2024 alone, it reached 1.54 billion USD, an increase of 17.4% compared to November of 2024 and an increase of 18% compared to December of 2023.
The exports to Japan ranked second in terms of export turnover, reaching 4.33 billion USD, accounting for 11.7%, an increase of 6.8%. In December of 2024 alone, it reached 391.72 million USD, up by 1% compared to November of 2024 and up by 13.5% compared to December of 2023.
The next was the EU market, reaching over 4.24 billion USD, accounting for 11.5%, up by 12.7%. In December of 2024 alone, it reached 387.66 million USD, up by 1.5% compared to November of 2024 and up by 25.9% compared to December of 2023.
The next was the South Korean market with 3.15 billion USD, accounting for 8.5%, up by 3.5% and to China reached 1.33 billion USD, accounting for 3.6%, up by 18.5% compared to 2023.
Textile and garment exports to the Southeast Asian market accounted for 5.7%, reaching nearly 2.1 billion USD, up by 18.5% compared to 2023.
