Domestic Rice Prices
Rice prices in the Mekong Delta region showed little fluctuation compared to yesterday and before the Lunar New Year. According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) of An Giang province, current paddy prices are as follows:
• IR 50404 (fresh): 5,400 - 5,600 VND/kg (-100 VND)
• OM 5451: 5,800 - 6,000 VND/kg
• Đài Thơm 8 (fresh): 6,600 - 6,800 VND/kg
• OM 380: 6,600 - 6,700 VND/kg
• OM 18 (fresh): 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg
• Japanese rice: 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg
• Nàng Hoa 9: 9,200 VND/kg
In Bạc Liêu, late Autumn-Winter paddy is still being harvested in small quantities, with farmers slightly lowering their offers compared to yesterday. In Đồng Tháp, farmers are holding firm on prices, but new transactions remain slow.
In Cần Thơ, there is some demand for fragrant rice, but the quantity is low, and traders are purchasing small amounts for early-year stocking. In Tri Tôn, An Giang, farmers are mainly offering fragrant and ordinary rice, with limited availability of OM 5451, leading to slow transactions. In Sóc Trăng, there is a fair amount of rice available for sale, but most buyers are fulfilling pre-Tết contracts.
Milled Rice Prices
According to An Giang DARD, current milled rice prices are as follows:
• IR 504 raw rice: 7,700 - 7,800 VND/kg (unchanged)
• IR 504 finished rice: 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg
• OM 380 raw rice: 7,400 - 7,500 VND/kg (unchanged)
• OM 380 finished rice: 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg
• OM 5451 raw rice: 8,800 - 8,900 VND/kg (-100 VND)
By-products
• Broken rice: 7,100 - 7,300 VND/kg
• Dried rice bran: 5,500 - 5,600 VND/kg
Regional Market Trends
• Sa Đéc (Đồng Tháp): Rice supply is sporadic, and demand for fragrant rice is high, but availability remains low.
• Sa Đéc wholesale market: More lower-quality rice is arriving, while warehouse purchases remain slow. Prices are stable.
• An Cư (Cái Bè, Tiền Giang): Rice supply is limited, and transactions remain slow. Fragrant rice is in short supply, but bulk fragrant rice is seeing slight price increases as market demand grows.
Retail Market Prices
• Regular rice: 16,000 - 17,000 VND/kg
• Nàng Nhen rice: 28,000 VND/kg (highest)
• Thai fragrant long-grain rice: 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg

Export Market
Vietnam’s export rice prices remained stable compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA):
• 5% broken rice: 405 USD/ton
• 25% broken rice: 380 USD/ton
• 100% broken rice: 318 USD/ton
