Ca Mau Fertilizer exported 100,000 tons of urea

 Saturday, February 8,2025

AsemconnectVietnam - PetroVietnam Ca Mau Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (PVCFC, HOSE: DCM) said that it has successfully negotiated 5 cargo ships with a total volume of more than 100,000 tons of urea, of which 2 ships are bound for Australia - a fertilizer market that is considered difficult with a volume of more than 30,000 tons.

A PVCFC representative said that after successfully exporting these 2 ships to Australia, the Company will have the opportunity to achieve the highest ranking (level 1) for imported fertilizer products into the market.
Previously, since the beginning of 2024, PVCFC has officially been present in Australia and is also the first Vietnamese enterprise to receive a certificate for exporting bulk fertilizers, bringing its main product, granular urea, to the Australian market. Over the past time, PVCFC has always been proactive in seeking opportunities to export to foreign markets, boosting revenue. In addition, the Company has also gradually improved the quality of transportation and loading services compared to the general level of exporters in the world, ensuring the best quality of goods when reaching customers.
Currently, world fertilizer prices are high and are expected to continue to increase slightly globally by 3-5% in 2025. Therefore, exporting 100,000 tons during the current low domestic crop season is a positive signal for PVCFC in 2025.
Currently, Ca Mau Fertilizer's product line is rich and diverse, from single fertilizer lines, mixed fertilizers, to organic and inorganic fertilizer lines, microorganisms... providing comprehensive solutions for crops.
PVCFC leaders said that in 2025, the Vietnamese fertilizer industry is forecasted to continue to face many difficulties and challenges due to many objective and subjective reasons. In that situation, PVCFC is still determined to set a target of consuming 1.5 million tons of fertilizers of all kinds and effectively operating 3 factories: Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant, Ca Mau NPK Plant and Han-Viet NPK Plant.
To complete these goals, PVCFC will implement sustainable development - ESG, build Ca Mau Fertilizer Smart Plant, promote investment, effectively manage investment portfolio, continue to research, propose new projects, expand production and business scale, strengthen marketing and distribution network, etc. In particular, PVCFC will promote connection and cooperation with leading domestic and foreign enterprises, seek and take advantage of all export opportunities to not only reduce inventory during low-season periods in the country, but also expand the market, affirm the brand position in Vietnam as well as in the international arena.
