AsemconnectVietnam - In 2024, Vietnam’s seafood exports reached over 10.04 billion USD, up by 11.93% compared to 2023.

According to the preliminary statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam’s seafood exports in December of 2024 decreased by 4.77% compared to November of 2024 but increased by 17.52% compared to December of 2023, reaching nearly 873.9 million USD. In the whole year of 2024, the exports of this group of products reached over 10.04 billion USD, up by 11.93% compared to 2023.
Seafood exports to the US market accounted for 18.26% of the total export turnover of this group of products nationwide, reaching over 1.83 billion USD, up by 17.59% compared to 2023. In December of 2024 alone reached over 150.48 million USD, down by 0.91% compared to November of 2024 but up by 32.85% compared to December of 2023.
The Chinese market ranked second in turnover, accounting for 17.23%, reaching nearly 1.73 billion USD, up by 29.38% over the same period last year. In December of 2024 alone, the exports to this market reached 155.56 million USD, down by 7.08% compared to November of 2024 but up sharply by 71.15% compared to December of 2023.
The next was the Japanese market in December of 2024, down by 18.45% compared to November of 2024 and down by 2.26% compared to December of 2023, reaching 120.86 million USD; In 2024, exports to this market increased by 1.11% compared to 2023, reaching 1.53 billion USD, accounting for 15.26% of the total export turnover of this group of goods nationwide.
