ISO 14067 is an international standard issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), focusing on determining and managing the carbon footprint of products (Carbon Footprint of Products - CFP). This standard provides a scientific method for calculating greenhouse gas emissions throughout the entire product life cycle, from raw material extraction to end-of-life treatment.
The highlight of ISO 14067 is that it not only focuses on carbon management but also guides businesses to improve the environmental performance of products, design more eco-friendly products and raise consumer awareness. After the assessment process from October 7, 2024 to October 11, 2024, Bureau Veritas officially recognized Ton Dong A's management system as meeting ISO 14067:2018 standards. The calculated data is based on specific indicators from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023, demonstrating the company's transparency and standards in environmental management.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Van Dai, Deputy General Director of Ton Dong A Joint Stock Company, emphasized the importance of achieving ISO 14067:2018 certification. This is a strategic step that helps the Company not only meet the requirements for exporting to the EU market but also affirms its strong commitment to minimizing environmental impacts and greenhouse gas emissions. By moving towards a circular economy, Ton Dong A is taking concrete steps to contribute to the goal of net zero emissions by 2050, in line with the Government's roadmap.
