PVTrans (PVT) estimates VND1,700 billion profit in 11 months of 2024
Friday, December 27,2024AsemconnectVietnam - PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans, code PVT - HOSE) continues to record growing business results in 11 months of 2024 when it has increased its total tonnage to more than 1.6 million DWT.
In 11 months of 2024, PVTrans is estimated to record consolidated revenue of VND10,900 billion, up 23%, pre-tax profit of VND1,700 billion, up 18% over the same period last year and completing 179% of the profit plan of VND950 billion in 2024.
It is known that in 2024, PVTrans plans to have revenue of VND8,800 billion, pre-tax profit of VND950 billion.
Regarding fleet development, as of the end of November 2024, PVTrans currently owns a modern fleet of 58 ships, with a total tonnage of more than 1.6 million DWT, considered the largest liquid cargo transportation company in Vietnam today. Not only in terms of quantity, PVTrans's fleet is constantly being rejuvenated to meet international standards on the application of advanced technology to help optimize fuel, reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. In particular, in October 2024, PVTrans continued to receive the product oil tanker MR - PVT Valencia with a tonnage of up to 47,399 DWT (received in 2008 in Japan), increasing the fleet to 58 ships and maintaining the title of No. 1 liquid cargo transport unit in Vietnam (PVTrans has invested in 6 new ships with diverse types and tonnage, flexibly meeting different transportation requirements from product oil, chemical ships, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers to bulk cargo ships in the first 10 months of 2024).
