Vietnam spent over 117 billion USD importing Chinese goods in 10 months

AsemconnectVietnam - By the end of October 2024, China continued to be the market from which Vietnam imports the most goods.

According to the General Department of Customs, by the end of October, the whole country spent up to 117.52 billion USD importing goods from China.
This result increased sharply by 31.5% (equivalent to an increase of 28.17 billion USD) compared to the same period last year.
This neighboring market alone accounted for 38% of the total import turnover of the whole country.
Chinese goods were present in most of our country's key import groups from electronics and components to raw materials, vegetables, consumer goods, iron and steel, etc.
Notably, there were many groups of imported goods from China reaching a turnover of billions of dollars, including 2 groups of tens of billions of dollars: computers, electronic products and components; machinery, equipment, tools, spare parts.
In addition to China, by the end of October, there were 6 markets importing tens of billions of dollars.
South Korea ranked second with a total turnover of 46.31 billion USD, up by 7.6% (equivalent to an increase of 3.26 billion USD).
The ASEAN market ranked third with a total turnover of 38.23 billion USD, up by 13.2% (equivalent to an increase of 4.47 billion USD).
The remaining markets were: Taiwan (China) reached 18.67 billion USD, up by 21.6% (equivalent to an increase of 3.32 billion USD); Japan reached 17.86 billion USD, up by 0.6% (equivalent to an increase of 113 million USD); EU reached 13.87 billion USD, up by 12.6% (equivalent to an increase of 1.55 billion USD); The United States reached 12.24 billion USD, up by 7.9% (equivalent to an increase of 895 billion USD).
With 264.7 billion USD, the 7 key markets mentioned above alone accounted for 84.76% of the country's total import turnover.
