Vietnam – Austria trade exchange in October and 10 months of 2024
Monday, November 25,2024AsemconnectVietnam - According to Vietnam customs statistics, in the first 10 months of 2024, Austria's export turnover to Vietnam reached over 374.4 million USD, an increase of 12.64% over the same period of 2023.
In October of 2024 alone, Austria's export turnover to Vietnam reached over 47 million USD, an increase of 6.05% over September and an increase of 47% over the same period of 2023.
Pharmaceuticals of all kinds led the list of Austria's export items to Vietnam in the first 10 months of 2024 with a turnover value of over 115 million USD, accounting for 36% of Austria's total export turnover to Vietnam and an increase of 40.1% over the same period of 2023.
Machinery, equipment and spare parts ranked second with a turnover reached nearly 81.7 million USD, accounting for 19% of Austria's total export turnover of goods to Vietnam in the first 10 months of 2024 and increased by 63.2% over the same period of 2023.

Also according to Vietnam customs statistics, in the first 10 months of 2024, Austria's total import turnover of goods from Vietnam reached over 1.74 billion USD, down by nearly 22% compared to the same period of 2023.
In October of 2024 alone, Austria's import of goods from Vietnam reached 206 million USD, up by 48.5% compared to September of 2024 and down by 4.29% compared to October of 2023.
Phones of all kinds and components topped the list of Austria's main commodity groups imported from Vietnam in the first 10 months of 2024 with a turnover of 1.26 billion USD, accounting for 73% of Austria's total import value of goods from Vietnam and down by 25.5% compared to the same period of 2023.
In October of 2024 alone, Austria's import of phones of all kinds and components from Vietnam reached a turnover value of over 139 million USD, up by 68.8% compared to September of 2024 but down by 15.2% compared to September of 2023.
Machinery, equipment and spare parts ranked second in the list of Austria's main commodity groups imported from Vietnam in the first 10 months of 2024 with a turnover value of nearly 192.6 million USD, accounting for 11% of the total value of Austrian goods imported from Vietnam in the first 10 months of 2024 and down by 3.67% compared to the same period last year.
