AsemconnectVietnam - By the end of October, Vietnam’s exports of goods to the US reached nearly 100 billion USD, and the U.S continued to be Vietnam's largest export market.

According to the General Department of Customs, by the end of October 2024, there were 7 markets/market groups with export turnover of 10 billion USD or more.
The United States continued to lead with a total turnover of 98.69 billion USD, an increase of 24.6% (equivalent to an increase of 19.47 billion USD) over the same period last year and accounting for 29.4% of the country's total export turnover.
China was Vietnam's second largest export market with a turnover of 49.62 billion USD in the first 10 months of this year. However, among the key markets, China had the lowest growth rate, only 0.8% compared to the same period last year.
The EU was the third largest market with a turnover of 42.83 billion USD, up by 18.3% (equivalent to an increase of 6.61 billion USD) compared to the same period last year.
The remaining markets included ASEAN ranked third with 30.48 billion USD, up by 14.7% (equivalent to an increase of 3.91 billion USD); South Korea reached 21.17 billion USD, up by 7.9% (equivalent to an increase of 1.55 billion USD); Japan reached 20.22 billion USD, up by 5.1% (equivalent to an increase of 976 million USD).
Notably, Hong Kong (China) was the market with the smallest turnover among the 7 key markets but has the highest growth rate. Specifically, the exports to Hong Kong reached 10.27 billion USD, a sharp increase of 35.4% (equivalent to an increase of 2.69 billion USD). By the end of October, the country's exports reached 335.63 billion USD, an increase of 14.9% (equivalent to an increase of 43.58 billion USD) compared to the same period last year.
