Thus, with nearly 69 million shares in circulation, it is estimated that SJD will need to spend about VND124 billion to pay dividends to shareholders. In the shareholder structure of SJD, Song Da Corporation - JSC (code SJG) is the parent company, owning 50.96% of SJD's capital, and can receive at least VND63 billion in dividends from SJD.
Regarding business performance, in the third quarter, the company's net revenue reached nearly VND180 billion, unchanged from the same period last year. SJD said that the company mainly produces commercial electricity, sales revenue from electricity production, the main source of raw materials depends entirely on natural water sources. In the third quarter of 2024, due to favorable weather conditions and heavy rain, the electricity output in this period was equivalent to the same period in 2023, so the revenue from electricity production in this period was equivalent to the same period.
However, the profit after tax in this period increased by more than 25%, reaching VND88.4 billion because the cost of this period was lower than the same period last year and in the third quarter of 2024, the company reversed the provision for bad debts of VND10.5 billion.
Accumulated in the first 9 months of the year, SJD brought in nearly VND327 billion in net revenue, down 3% over the same period and achieved 82% of the yearly plan; After-tax profit reached VND130 billion, up 7% over the same period and exceeding the annual profit target by 3%.
