AsemconnectVietnam - According to preliminary data released by the General Department of Customs on October 18, 2024, the total import and export turnover of the whole country as of mid-October reached 610.56 billion USD.

In the first half of October (October 1-15), import and export activities continued to have many improvements when maintaining a large turnover scale.
Specifically, the total export turnover reached 16.15 billion USD. Of which, 4 groups of goods reached a turnover of billions of dollars including: computers, electronic products and components; phones and components; machinery, tools, spare parts; and textiles.
In addition, many groups of goods reached hundreds of millions of USD such as footwear; seafood; vegetables and fruits; means of transport and spare parts; iron and steel, etc.
From the beginning of the year to October 15, the total export turnover of the whole country reached 315.9 billion USD.
In contrast, the imports of goods in the first half of October reached 15.78 billion USD.
Computers, electronic products and components; machinery, tools, spare parts are two groups of goods with a turnover of billions of dollars in the first half of October.
Totally by October 15, the total import turnover reached 294.66 billion USD.
Thus, as of October 15, the scale of import and export turnover of the whole country reached 610.56 billion USD. The trade balance has a surplus of 21.24 billion USD.
