To make the List of 50 best listed companies in 2024, companies listed on HOSE and HNX are evaluated through many steps. In the preliminary round, companies need to meet the following conditions: making a profit in 2023, revenue and capitalization of at least VND500 billion. In the next round, companies are quantitatively scored on five criteria: compound growth rate of revenue, profit, ROE, ROC and EPS growth in the period 2019 - 2023.
Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation (SABECO) entered the Top 50 list for the 7th time with revenue and profit of VND30,461.37 billion and VND4,117 billion (2023 business results), respectively. This is a clear demonstration of efforts and orientation for sustainable growth.
SABECO records highest profit in 7 consecutive quarters
In the context of the global economy facing many challenges, in 2024, Sabeco plans to have revenue of VND34,397 billion, an increase of 12.9% over the same period, and an expected profit after tax of VND4,580 billion, an increase of 7.6% compared to the implementation in 2023.
In the first quarter of 2024, Sabeco recorded a revenue increase of 15.6%, to VND7,183.5 billion, a profit after tax increase of 2%, to VND1,023.7 billion, and completed 22.4% of the profit plan of VND4,580 billion. In the second quarter of 2024, Sabeco recorded revenue of VND8,086.3 billion, equal to 97.3% over the same period, and a profit after tax increase of 9%, to VND1,318.9 billion. In particular, gross profit margin improved from 29.9% to 30.2%.
The business results of the second quarter of 2024 showed that SABECO still affirmed its good management quality when it had significantly reduced many expenses, thereby contributing to increasing the company's business efficiency.
With the goal of maintaining the domestic market and reaching out to the international market; SABECO promotes research and development to improve product quality and launch new product lines.
Most recently, on August 6, 2024, SABECO officially launched the 333 Pilsner beer line - a lighter and smoother version of the legendary 333 brand. The product is created by Vietnamese brewers - people who have a deep understanding of Vietnamese tastes, combined with the use of European technology and high-quality imported ingredients. 333 Pilsner is the first new product in the 333 brand portfolio - one of the first beer brands to be present in Vietnam. The launch of 333 Pilsner demonstrates SABECO's commitment to continuous innovation to create high-quality products to meet the increasing needs of Vietnamese consumers.
Many international awards
At the recent World Beer Awards 2024, an award honoring special beers from around the world, all four of SABECO's Lager Beer products achieved high positions. Specifically, Saigon Export Premium and Saigon Special Beer won silver awards. Lac Viet Beer and Saigon Export Beer received gold awards. Most impressively, Lac Viet Beer received the title of "World's Best Light Lager Beer" when compared to other competitors, in the beer category with an alcohol content of 2.6 - 4.5%. Despite participating in a highly competitive group, Sabeco's Lac Viet Beer impressed the judges with its balanced and refreshing taste.
The award demonstrates the expertise of SABECO's brewers in brewing beer, creating quality products. At the same time, the award also affirms the growing influence of Vietnamese beer products in the world beer market.

Overcoming difficulties during the Covid-19 social distancing period and inflation, Saigon Beer has made a breakthrough by increasing 9 ranks to enter the top 10 most purchased brands in the beverage industry in urban areas of 4 major cities with an impressive growth of 57.5% in the number of purchase occasions and 30.4% in the percentage of purchasing households.
