AsemconnectVietnam - On July 30, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department issued a Decision on administrative sanctions for tax violations against Ha Do Group Joint Stock Company (code HDG - HOSE).

Ha Do committed administrative violations including false declarations but not leading to a shortage of value-added tax payable as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 141 of the Law on Tax Administration dated June 13, 2019; and false declarations leading to a shortage of value-added tax and personal income tax payable as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 103 and Article 107 of the Law on Tax Administration dated November 29, 2006, supplemented and amended by Clause 33, Article 1 of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Tax Administration dated November 20, 2012, Clause 1, Article 142 of the Law on Tax Administration dated June 13, 2019.
Of which, Ha Do was fined VND21.93 million; collected VND77.17 million in arrears for late tax payment; late tax payment of VND28.9 million; and adjusted to increase value added tax deduction by nearly VND3 billion.
Thus, the total amount of fines and arrears is about VND131 million.
In terms of business activities, in the first half of 2024, Ha Do recorded revenue of VND1,407.6 billion, down 9.8% over the same period; after-tax profit reached VND375.65 billion, down 13.4% over the same period last year. In which, gross profit margin decreased from 56.7% to 51.2%.
In 2024, Ha Do plans to have revenue of VND2,896 billion and after-tax profit of VND972 billion. Thus, by the end of the first half of 2024, Ha Do has completed 38.6% of the annual profit plan.
