DAILY: Vietnamese coffee prices increased by 1000 VND on June,20 2024

AsemconnectVietnam - On Thursday, Robusta coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands, the country's largest coffee-growing area increased by 1000 VND to 120,000 –121,200 VND per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi.

According to the Mercantile Exchange of Việt Nam, concerns about falling output for major coffee exporters, including Brazil and Việt Nam, will continue to boost coffee prices.
Gia Nghia of Dak Nong provided the maximum price of VND121,200/kg, while traders in Lam Dong province offered the lowest price of VND120,000. Robusta coffee fell to 119,000 VND per kg in Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha; to 120,900- 121,000VND per kg in Dak Lak; to 121,100-121,200VND per kg in Dak Nong; to 121,000VND per kg in Kon Tum, and 120,900-121,000VND per kg in Gia Lai.
 Việt Nam Coffee Association (Vicofa) predicted that Việt Nam's coffee exports might fall by 20 per cent in the 2023-24 crop season to 1.336 million tonnes.
The Foreign Agriculture Service (FAS) under the US Department of Agriculture, however, forecast Việt Nam’s robusta coffee output to see a slight decrease from 28 million bags to 27.9 million bags, or 1.68 million tonnes. Coffee exports are expected to reach an estimated US$2.9 billion in the first five months of this year, representing a rise of 43.9 per cent over the same period last year on rising prices despite a drop of 3.9 per cent in volume to 833,000 tonnes, according to Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s statistics. Coffee export prices averaged $4,208 per tonne in May, 11.7 per cent higher than April and 63.6 per cent higher than May 2023. Prices averaged $3,428 per tonne from January through May, up 49.9 per cent over the same period last year.
Since the beginning of the crop season in October 2023, Việt Nam has exported more than 1.2 million tonnes of coffee, meaning that inventory is low while prices remain high.

4.Kafa Cafe
Kafa Cafe is a popular coffee chain in Vietnam with approximately 53 locations throughout Vietnam. The cafe features a fresh and youthful atmosphere with simple wooden furniture, providing a comfortable and welcoming space for customers. However, what sets Kafa Cafe apart from other coffee chains is its focus on high-quality coffee.
Kafa Cafe takes great care in selecting and processing its coffee beans to ensure the best taste and consistency in its coffee drinks. Their menu includes a variety of coffee options, including whole-grain coffee, machine-specific roasted coffee, and traditional Vietnamese coffee. Customers can also purchase these coffee products in packs, with prices averaging around 100,000 VND (approximately $2.15 USD).
Kafa Cafe is open from 7 am to 10 pm, and customers can enjoy their coffee drinks at affordable prices ranging from 15,000 to 40,000 VND (approximately $0.64 – 1.72 USD).
