AsemconnectVietnam - By the end of May, Vietnam had 6 provinces and cities with export turnover of 10 billion USD or more, including Hai Phong and Bac Giang provinces.

According to the latest statistics figures of the General Department of Customs, by the end of May, Hai Phong's exports reached 12.15 billion USD, ranking 5th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
As compared to the same period last year, Hai Phong's export turnover increased by 29.25% (equivalent to an increase in turnover of 2.75 billion USD).
Meanwhile, Bac Giang exports reached 10.58 billion USD, ranking 6th in the country. In comparison to the same period of 2023, this locality's exports increased by 19.14% (equivalent to an increase in turnover of 1.7 billion USD).
The remaining 4 localities exporting tens of billions of dollars include: Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Ninh, Binh Duong and Thai Nguyen with results respectively: 17.53 billion USD; 14.37 billion USD; 13.41 billion USD; 13.15 billion USD.
All four localities mentioned above have increased turnover compared to the same period last year.
Notably, Bac Ninh has found recovery momentum after a difficult start in the first months of the year (by the end of April there was still negative growth compared to the same period last year).
Specifically, May recorded a significant breakthrough for this locality with a turnover leading the country when it reached 3.15 billion USD.
In May, the country's exports reached 32.27 billion USD, up by 3.9% over the previous month. Overall, the figure of the first 5 months reached 156.28 billion USD, up by 14.9% over the same period last year.
