AsemconnectVietnam - The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued a Plan to implement the Chemical Industry Development Strategy until 2030, with a vision to 2040.

Implementing Decision No. 726/QD-TTg dated June 16, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the Strategy for developing Vietnam's chemical industry to 2030, with a vision to 2040, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued Decision 1189/QD-BCT on Plan to implement the Chemical Industry Development Strategy.
Accordingly, the plan has 3 purposes, including:
Firstly, organize the implementation of tasks and solutions identified in the Chemical Industry’s Development Strategy related to the functions and tasks of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to achieve goals according to the views and orientations of the Chemical industry’s Development Strategy which has been approved by the Prime Minister;
Second, the action plan is the basis for units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade to build and advise on adjusting strategies, plans and action programs according to functions and tasks to direct, organize and coordinate the implementation of specific tasks of the unit in accordance with the Chemical Industry Development Strategy;
Third, the action plan is the basis for organizing inspection, supervision, preliminary and final reviews, evaluation and drawing experience on organizing the implementation of the Chemical Industry Development Strategy, and is also the basis to coordinate with relevant agencies to propose and submit to the Prime Minister for consideration and adjustment of objectives and contents of the Chemical Industry Development Strategy in case of necessity.
According to the implementation plan, the development and organization of the work contents and tasks identified in the action plan are based on basic requirements such as: fully and deeply grasping viewpoints and goals that the Chemical Industry Development Strategy has set out to implement effectively.
In addition, the plan aims to specify organizational requirements for implementing the Chemical Industry Development Strategy; demonstrate the initiative and creativity of each unit and the cooperation between units inside and outside the Industry and Trade sector in implementing tasks, solutions and achieving the goals set out in the industry’s Development Strategy as well as ensure consistency with the implementation organization and action programs of the Government to implement the Party's resolutions, strategies and plans for socio-economic development of the country and the industry in every period.
The decision took effect as from May 16, 2024.
