AsemconnectVietnam - On Thursday, Robusta coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands, the country's largest coffee-growing area increased by 5000 VND to VND113,000 – VND114,500 per kg compared to Yesterday due to recent dry and hot weather in key growing areas, many pepper plants died, according to Kinhtedothi.

Gia Nghia of Dak Nong provided the maximum price of VND114,500/kg, while traders in Lam Dong province offered the lowest price of VND113,000. Robusta coffee rose to VND113,000 per kg in Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha; to VND 114,000 per kg in Dak Lak; to VND114,400- VND114,500 in Dak Nong; to VND113,900 per kg in Kon Tum, and VND113,900 per kg- VND114,000 in Gia Lai.
According to Dong Nai Statistics Department, in the first 5 months of 2024, coffee export turnover of this province reached nearly 502 million USD. This is the type of agricultural product with the largest export turnover of the province. In addition, some businesses in Dong Nai also produce instant coffee for export with a turnover of up to millions of USD.
Dong Nai is one of the three largest coffee exporting provinces in the country. There is not much coffee growing area in the province, but many businesses have chosen Dong Nai to build storage warehouses and coffee processing factories for domestic and foreign consumption. Therefore, Dong Nai is considered the coffee export capital of Vietnam.
