Sao Ta Foods (FMC) reached USD16.32 million sales in April

AsemconnectVietnam - Sao Ta Food Joint Stock Company (code FMC) has just announced consolidated operating information in April 2024 with finished shrimp production reaching 2,130 tons, an increase of 50% over the same period last year. Accordingly, finished shrimp consumption reached 1,435 tons, an increase of 22%.

FMC's finished agricultural product production reached 216 tons, equivalent to the same period, but consumption output only reached 42 tons, down 55% over the same period.
Overall, FMC's April sales reached USD16.32 million, up 17% over the same period last year, but down nearly 15% compared to March. FMC informed that FMC shrimp farms have completed harvesting shrimp in April, currently preparing for the stocking process of the main crop.
Previously, FMC also announced business results for the first quarter of 2024 with consumption output reaching more than 4,607 tons, up 22% over the same period last year due to seafood consumption increasing 27% to 4,272 tons.
Therefore, FMC brought in VND1,461 billion in net revenue, an increase of 45% over the same period. After deducting expenses, FMC's pre-tax profit was more than VND57 billion, an increase of 13% over the same period and 18% of the year's plan.
The final result, FMC's first quarter profit after tax reached VND57 billion, an increase of 18% compared to the first quarter of 2023. The parent company alone brought in VND50 billion, an increase of 14%.
As of March 31, 2024, FMC's total assets reached more than VND3,503 billion, an increase of more than 4% compared to the beginning of the year. Of which, inventory decreased by 6%, to VND941 billion; Construction in progress costs decreased by 14%, to VND82 billion.
In addition, the business still has VND1,212 billion in liabilities, an increase of 8%. FMC's short-term bank loans alone are VND778 billion, down 5% and accounting for 64% of total debt.
On May 15, FMC will finalize the list of shareholders paying dividends in 2023 in cash, at a rate of 20% (corresponding to 01 share receiving VND2,000). Payment time is May 29. With nearly 65.4 million shares, FMC will spend nearly VND131 billion to pay dividends to shareholders.
