Tuesday, April 16,2024AsemconnectVietnam - On Tuesday, Robusta coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands, the country's largest coffee-growing area rose by 1200 VND to VND111,700 – VND112,600 per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi.
Gia Nghia of Dak Nong provided the maximum price of VND112,600/kg, while traders in Lam Dong province offered the lowest price of VND111,700. Robusta coffee increased to VND111,700 per kg in Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha; to VND112,300 per kg - VND112,400 per kg in Dak Lak; to VND112,500 - VND112,600 in Dak Nong; to VND112,100 per kg in Kon Tum, and to VND 112,100 - VND112,200 per kg in Gia Lai.
From October 2023 to March 2024, Vietnam has exported nearly 1 million tonnes of coffee, with inventory output estimated at only about 300,000 tonnes. Thus, it is likely that Vietnam will run out of supply in just 2 months.
In the first 3 months of 2024, the top 10 enterprises in terms of raw coffee export volume are: Vinh Hiep, Simexco Daklak, Louis Dreyfus Company Vietnam, Tuan Loc Commodities, Intimex Group, Intimex My Phuoc, NKG Vietnam, Phuc Sinh, Olam Vietnam and Mascopex.
Mr. Thai Nhu Hiep - Director of Vinh Hiep Co., Ltd. admitted that the company's inventory is only enough to sell until about May, while the new coffee harvest will not arrive until October 2024.
