DAILY: Vietnamese pepper prices rose by 500 VND on March 15, 2024

AsemconnectVietnam - On Friday, domestic pepper prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands rose by 500 VND to VND93,000 - VND95,000 per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi.

The maximum price for pepper rose to VND95,000 per kg in Dac Lac and Dak Nong while in Gia Lai province, the lowest price at VND93,000 per kg. Farmers in Dong Nai sold pepper for VND93,000 per kilogram, in Binh Phuoc province for VND95,000 per kilogram and Ba Ria – Vung Tau for 95,000 VND.
According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association, in February 2024, Vietnam exported 13,596 tonnes of pepper of all kinds, of which black pepper was 12,027 tonnes, and white pepper of 1,569 tonnes. Total export turnover reached 54.8 million USD, of which black pepper was 45.9 million USD and white pepper of 8.9 million USD.
