AsemconnectVietnam - On Monday, Robusta coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands, the country's largest coffee-growing area rose by 600 VND to VND81,500 – VND82,300 per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi.

Gia Nghia of Dak Nong provided the maximum price of VND82,300/kg, while traders in Lam Dong province offered the lowest price of VND81,500/kg. Robusta coffee rose to VND81,500 per kg in Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha; to VND 82,100 per kg - VND82,000 per kg in Dak Lak; to VND82,200 – VND82,300 in Dak Nong; to VND81,900 per kg in Kon Tum, and to VND81,900 – VND82,000 per kg in Gia Lai.
Vietnam exported 238,266 metric tons of coffee in January, up 67.4% from a year earlier and 14.8% from the previous month, customs data showed. Revenue reached $726.6 million, up 133.7% from January 2023. The Vietnam Cocoa Coffee Association (Vicofa) predicts that 2024 will continue to be a favorable year for coffee exports. This association also stated that although output may decrease, export turnover will increase and is expected to reach about 4.5 - 5 billion USD. To achieve this ambitious target, the Vietnamese coffee industry must intensify efforts to improve the value of coffee through a greater emphasis on deep processing, product line repositioning, and alignment with market trends.
Vietnam’s 2023-2024 crop is likely to be down 10 per cent compared to the previous crop.
