AsemconnectVietnam - On Thursday, Vietnam’s domestic live pig prices are priced between 53,000 - 58,000 VND/kg, according to Kinhtedothi. Compared to Yesterday, prices decreased in the North but increased slightly in the South and the Central region.

Price of live pigs in the North
According to records, the price of live pigs in the Northern region decreased by 1,000 VND/kg to about 56,000 - 57,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, in the three provinces of Lao Cai, Nam Dinh, and Ninh Binh, the price decreased by 1,000 VND/kg to 56,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the region.
The price of live pigs in the provinces of Hung Yen, Thai Binh, and Ha Nam is currently trading at 57,000 VND/kg. Prices are stable in other regions.
Price of live pigs in the Central-Central Highlands
The price of live pigs in the Central-Central Highlands region is purchased in the range of 55,000 - 58,000 VND/kg. The price in Thanh Hoa province decreased slightly by 1,000 VND/kg to 56,000 VND/kg. However, the price increased slightly by 1,000 VND/kg in the provinces of Quang Binh, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, and Khanh Hoa to reach 55,000 VND/kg. In Lam Dong province, the price also increased slightly by 1,000 VND/kg to 58,000 VND/kg.
Traders in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan purchased live pigs at 56,000 VND/kg and 58,000 VND/kg, respectively, an increase of 2,000 VND/kg.
Pig prices in the South
In the southern region, live pig prices continue to increase to 54,000 - 58,000 VND/kg. Specifically, the price of live pigs in Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau, Dong Thap, and Tien Giang provinces increased by 1,000 VND/kg to 55,000 - 57,000 VND/kg, depending on the region.
Accordingly, in Dong Nai and Ca Mau, prices increased by 1,000 VND/kg to 58,000 VND/kg and 54,000 VND/kg respectively.
According to the Department of Livestock, Vietnam's live pork production in 2024 is expected to reach 4.86 million tonnes, an increase of 7.2% compared to 2023. The total heads of pigs is estimated to 28.6-28.7 million in 2024.
