 Monday, February 19,2024

AsemconnectVietnam - Entering the new year 2024, industrial manufacturing enterprises share the same spirit of determination to compete in production, expecting a breakthrough growth momentum.

The General Statistics Office said that although the world economic situation is still difficult and market demand has not recovered, due to efforts to find orders as well as prepare goods to serve consumption during the Lunar New Year of the manufacturing enterprises, the country's industrial production index continued to change positively. Entering the new year 2024, industrial manufacturing enterprises share the same spirit of determination to compete in production, expecting a breakthrough growth momentum.
According to the General Statistics Office, the industrial production index (IIP) in January of 2024 was estimated to decrease by 4.4% over the previous month and increase by 18.3% over the same period last year; Of which, the IPP of the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 19.3% over the same period last year, contributing 15.1 percentage points to the overall increase.
Notably, the industrial production index in January of 2024 increased in 60 localities and decreased in 3 localities across the country compared to the same period last year. Some localities have had a fairly high increase in the IIP index due to the processing and manufacturing industry; the electricity production and distribution industry increased sharply.
Accordingly, a number of localities had a high increase in the IIP index of the processing and manufacturing industry in January of 2024 compared to the same period last year, including: Quang Ninh increased by 157.9%; Bac Giang increased by 57.7%; Nam Dinh increased by 56.9%; Vinh Long increased by 51.2%; Kien Giang increased by 47.7%; Phu Tho increased by 39.4%, and Ho Chi Minh city increased by 26.9%.
Specifically, from the beginning of the first quarter of 2024, the production and business activities of enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City showed positive signs when many units "joined hands" to cooperate to improve efficient operations, as well as launching new products. For example: Toan Viet Electronics and Informatics Co., Ltd. coordinated with partners to launch Vietnam's first AI desktop computer using the Ryzen 8000G series processor, called ROSA PC AI.
With the goal of anticipating and grasping the trend of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, contributing to improving and enhancing the quality of life and work, ROSA computers create AI applications that fully meet the standards and solutions for schools and businesses.
The report of the Statistics Department of Ho Chi Minh city pointed out that the index of industrial production (IIP) in January of 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City increased by 26.9% over the same period last year. Of which, 28/30 industries had an increase in the level II industrial production index over the same period last year, the consumption index increased by 27.8% and the inventory index increased by 27.5%.
According to economic experts, although facing many difficulties due to the impact of the global economic recession, the localities across the country always apply many flexible ways to create the best environment for investors in deploying projects in the area and continue to implement policies to invite new investors from the perspective of attracting investment capital into high-tech, environmentally friendly industries.
