DAILY: Vietnamese coffee prices remained unchanged on February 5
Monday, February 5,2024AsemconnectVietnam - On Monday, Robusta coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands, the country's largest coffee-growing area remained unchanged at VND77,700 – VND78,900 per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi.
Gia Nghia of Dak Lac provided the maximum price of VND77,700 /kg, while traders in Lam Dong province offered the lowest price of VND78,900/kg. Robusta coffee stayed at VND77,700per kg in Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha; at VND 78,400 per kg - VND78,500 per kg in Dak Lak; at VND78,800 – VND78,900 in Dak Nong; at VND78,200 per kg in Kon Tum, and at VND78,200 – VND78,300 per kg in Gia Lai.
This week, experts said supply is still tight as Vietnam enters the long Lunar New Year holiday; maritime transport congestion; Inventories are at a 15-year low, which will continue to support Robusta coffee prices in the short term. However, coffee prices are considered to have reached their peak, and are unlikely to increase in the medium term.
Vietnam exported 96,000 metric tonnes of coffee in the first two weeks of January, up 4.2% from a year earlier, government data released on Monday showed.
Coffee export revenue in the Jan. 1 to Jan. 15 period rose 40% to $283 million, the General Statistics Office said in a report.
