Friday, January 26,2024AsemconnectVietnam - Following the direction of the Ministry of Transport, many solutions are being implemented to create favorable conditions for transporting goods from Vietnam's seaport system to international destinations.
Faced with rising container shipping rates due to conflicts in the Red Sea, the Ministry of Transport requested the Vietnam Maritime Administration to preside and coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently deploy tasks to support businesses, especially import-export businesses. Many solutions are being implemented to create favorable conditions for transporting goods from Vietnam's seaport system to international destinations.
A representative of the Vietnam Maritime Administration said that Vietnam currently has about 26 transport routes to Europe and America operated by about 10 foreign shipping companies, departing from Lach Huyen (Hai Phong) and Cai Mep ports. - Thi Vai (Ba Ria - Vung Tau).
Following the direction of the Ministry of Transport, the Maritime Administration assigned branches in Hai Phong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and City. Ho Chi Minh City strengthens inspection, declaration and listing of prices as well as surcharges for container goods. In addition, they also stabilizes control of other service prices during periods of market fluctuation.
According to the statistics figures from the Vietnam Maritime Administration, container shipping rates have doubled for routes to Europe and increased by up to 60% for goods to the US compared to the end of last year. The implementation of solutions aims to stabilize goods output, delivery schedules and production plans of the enterprises.
