In 2023, export turnover of all kinds of fertilizers decreased by 40.7%
Saturday, January 20,2024AsemconnectVietnam - Exports of all kinds of fertilizer in 2023 recorded a sharp decrease in volume, turnover and price compared to the same period.
According to statistics from General Department of Customs, in 2023 the country exported nearly 1.55 million tons of fertilizers of all kinds, equivalent to 648.9 million USD, hitting an average price of 419.6 USD/ton, down 11. 7% in volume, a decrease of 40.7% in turnover and down 32.9% in price compared to 2022.
In December 2023 alone, 162,921 tons of fertilizers of all kinds were exported, reaching 71.41 million USD, priced at 438.3 USD/ton, up 93.5% in volume, up 90.4% in turnover but down 1.6% in price compared to November 2023. Compared to December 2022, it also increased by 23.5% in volume, increased by 10% in turnover but decreased by 10.8% in price.
Vietnam's fertilizer exports are mainly to Cambodian market, which accounts for 38% of the country's total fertilizer export volume and turnover, reaching 584,929 tons, equivalent to 246.69 million USD with an average price is 421.7 USD/ton, up 20.9% in volume but down 3.2% in turnover and down 19.9% in price compared to the same period in 2022. In December 2023 alone, exports to this market reached 89,467 tons, equivalent to 38.5 million USD, average price 430.3 USD/ton, up 225% in volume, 227% increase in turnover, 16.2% in price compared to November 2023.
Following Cambodian market is Korean market with 89,297 tons, equivalent to 35.03 million USD with an average price 392.3 USD/ton, up 0.12% in volume, down 46.8% in turnover and down 46,6% in price, accounting for 5.8% of total volume and 5.4% of the country's total fertilizer export turnover.
Exports to Malaysian market reached 97,250 tons, equivalent to 33.78 million USD with an average price 347.3 USD/ton, a sharp decrease of 22.8% in volume, down 48.3% in turnover and 33% in price, accounting for 6.3% of total volume and 5.2% of total turnover.
Exports to FTA RCEP markets reached 954,207 tons, equivalent to 398.93 million USD, up 0.94% in volume, down 28.5% in turnover. Exports to CPTTP markets reached 106,768 tons, equivalent to 37.9 million USD, down 28.6% in volume and 53.4% in turnover. Exports to Southeast Asian market reached 855,392 tons, equivalent to 359.77 million USD, an increase of 2.7% in volume, a decrease of 24.4% in turnover.
