Textile and garment products lead export turnover in 2023, reaching 490 million USD, an increase of 121.5% over the same period last year, accounting for 28% of export turnover. The next is coffee, reaching 245.1 million USD, down 1.7%, accounting for 14% of export turnover; the machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts group with 166.9 million USD, an increase of 121.5%, accounting for 28% of the proportion.
Export items which reached an increase of export turnover in 2023 includes: Handbags, wallets, suitcases, hats and umbrellas increased by 82.8%; rubber products increased by 106.9%; ceramic products increased by 53.8%.
Asian and European Market Department (under Ministry of Trade and Industry) noted that businesses also need to take full advantage of incentives in free trade agreements between Vietnam and other countries to diversify markets. In case a business has difficulty exporting goods to Russia and Ukraine, they can contact the Vietnamese trade office in these two countries for support and find a solution.
