Vietnam - China trade may reach 140 billion USD in 10 months
Monday, November 6,2023AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam - China imports and exports is about to reach 140 billion USD after 10 months. China is also the only market in which Vietnam has growing export turnover.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the first 10 months of 2023, China was our country's second largest export market with an estimated turnover of 49.5 billion USD, an increase of 5%. This increase is a bright spot in the country's exports in the context of exports to most major markets decreasing.
This is because in recent times, the ministries, including the Ministry of Industry and Trade, have implemented good solutions on exporting to countries sharing a common border. Basic goods are not congested, especially fruits and vegetables such as durian, dragon fruit, etc. even during peak seasons, contributing to increasing export turnover to the Chinese market.
On the contrary, China was still Vietnam's largest import market with an estimated turnover of 89.7 billion USD, down by 10.2% over the same period last year.
Thus, the two-way import-export turnover between Vietnam and China has been estimated at 139.2 billion USD after the first 10 months of the year.
