DAILY: Vietnamese pepper prices rose by 1000 VND on August 3
Thursday, August 3,2023AsemconnectVietnam - On Thursday, domestic pepper prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands increased by 1000 VND to VND69,500 – VND72,500 per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi.vn.
In Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, the maximum price for pepper rose to VND72,500 per kg, while in Gia Lai province, the lowest price to VND69,500 per kg. Farmers in Binh Phuoc sold pepper for VND71,500 per kilogram, in Dong Nai province for VND70,000 per kilogram, and in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces for VND70,500 per kilogram.
According to the General Statistics Office, in the first 7 months of 2023, Vietnam's pepper exports reached 169,000 tonnes, valued at 542 million USD, up 18.6% in volume, down 15.1% in turnover compared to the same period in 2022. Pepper exports price in this period averaged 3,214 USD/tonne, down 28.4% over the same period in 2022.
