Exports of animal feed in first 6 months of 2023
Thursday, July 27,2023AsemconnectVietnam - According to the preliminary statistics figures of the General Department of Customs, the export turnover of animal feed of the whole country in the first six months of 2023 reached 522.34 million USD, down by 13.3% compared to the first six months of 2022.
Particularly in June of 2023, the figure reached 96.18 million USD, down by 3.2% compared to May of 2023 and down by 15.6% compared to June of 2022.
The exports of animal feed to China - the largest market, in June of 2023 decreased slightly by 0.1% compared to May of 2023 but increased by 19.3% compared to June of 2022, reaching 48.39 million USD. In general, the export turnover to this market in 6 months of 2023 reached 240.37 million USD, down by 3.2% compared to the first 6 months of 2022, accounting for 46% of the total export turnover of this commodity group of the whole country.
The exports of animal feed to Cambodia - the second largest market in the first 6 months of 2023, increased by 6.9% over the same period, reaching 83.57 million USD, accounting for 16% of the total turnover. In June of 2023 alone, the figure decreased by 25.4% compared to May of 2023 and decreased by 24.7% compared to June of 2022, reaching 12.04 million USD.
The Malaysian market ranked third in terms of turnover, reaching 51.64 million USD, up by 30% over the same period. In June of 2023 alone, the figure decreased by 8.3% compared to May of 2023 but increased by 14.1% compared to June of 2022, reaching 8.79 million USD.
The exports of animal feed to the FTA-RCEP market in the first six months of 2023 decreased by 3.7% over the same period, reaching 432.26 million USD, accounting for 82.8% of the total turnover. The exports to the CPTTP market increased by 1.7% over the same period, reaching 64.13 million USD, accounting for 12.3% of the total turnover; and the exports to the Southeast Asian market increased slightly by 0.6% over the same period, reaching 167.5 million USD, accounting for 32.1%.
