DAILY: Vietnamese coffee prices decreased by 1200 VND on July 21
Friday, July 21,2023AsemconnectVietnam - On Friday, Robusta coffee prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands, the country's largest coffee-growing area fell by 1200 VND to VND64,900 – VND65,700 per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi.
Gia Nghia of Dak Nong provided the maximum price of VND65,700/kg, while traders in Lam Dong province offered the lowest price of VND64,900/kg. Robusta coffee decreased to VND64,900/kg in Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha; to VND65,400 – VND65,500 per kg in Dak Lak; to VND65,600 – VND65,700 per kg in Dak Nong; to VND65,300 per kg in Kon Tum, and to VND65,300 - VND65,200 per kg in Gia Lai.
Production linkage models have helped increase the value of coffee and pepper products in Dak Nong. In which, there are models that help coffee and pepper products increase in value by up to 30%.
Dak Nong currently has 65 affiliates in the production and consumption of agricultural products in 9 categories. The activities of linking production and consumption of agricultural products attracted about 9,660 households.
Coffee is a rather vibrantly linked product. According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the province has 25 chains of coffee production and consumption, including 12 cooperatives and 13 enterprises, with about 13,284 hectares.
Linking coffee production and consumption currently attracts over 7,690 households, with an output of 40,788 tonnes/crop, accounting for 12.8% of the province's coffee output.
Prominent such as Loan Hiep Private Enterprise (Dak R'lap) connects about 400 farming households with 1,059 hectares of coffee, with an output of about 3,700 tonnes per year.
Trang Thinh Vinh Co., Ltd. (Dak R'lap) is associated with 1,000 farmers who grow 2,000 hectares of coffee, with an annual output of about 6,000 tonnes.
Thang Loi Co., Ltd (Gia Nghia) associated with 2,000 households growing 3,000 hectares of coffee, the output is about 10,000 tonnes/year. Thuan An Fair Cooperative (Dak Mil) is associated with 180 households growing 300 hectares of coffee with an output of over 387 tonnes. The farmers involved in pepper production receive technical support and can purchase products at a price higher than 3,000 VND/kg compared to the market price.
