DAILY: Vietnamese pepper prices remained unchanged on July 14

AsemconnectVietnam - On Friday, domestic pepper prices in Vietnam's Central Highlands remained unchanged at VND67,000 – VND70,000 per kg compared to Yesterday, according to Kinhtedothi.vn.

In Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, the maximum price for pepper stayed at VND70,500 per kg, while in Gia Lai province, the lowest price at VND67,500 per kg. Farmers in Binh Phuoc sold pepper for VND69,500 per kilogram, in Dong Nai province for VND68,000 per kilogram, and in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces for VND68,500 per kilogram.
In the first 6 months of the year, Vietnam exported 152,986 tonnes of pepper of all kinds, of which black pepper reached 138,377 tonnes, white pepper reached 14,609 tonnes. The total export turnover reached 485.9 million USD, of which black pepper reached 417.9 million USD, white pepper reached 68.0 million USD. In comparison to the same period last year, the export volume increased by 21.8%, equivalent to 27,433 tonnes, but the export turnover decreased by 14.6%, equivalent to a decrease of 82.3 million USD.
