Exports of animal feed reached 426.3 million USD in first 5 months of 2023
Sunday, June 25,2023AsemconnectVietnam - According to the preliminary statistics figures of the General Department of Customs, the export turnover of animal feed of the whole country in the first 5 months of 2023 reached 426.3 million USD, down by 12.8% compared to the first 5 months of 2022.
In May of 2023 alone, the figure reached 99.36 million USD, up by 1.4% compared to April of 2023 but down by 13.4% compared to May of 2022.
The exports of animal feed to China - the largest market, in May of 2023 increased by 10.1% compared to April of 2023 and increased by 28.6% compared to May of 2022, reaching 48.44 million. In general, the export turnover to this market in the first 5 months of 2023 reached 192.11 million USD, down by 7.5% compared to the first 5 months of 2022, accounting for 45% of the total export turnover of this group of goods of the country.
Meanwhile, the export of animal feed to Cambodia market - the second largest market in the first 5 months of 2023 increased 14.2% over the same period last year, reaching 71.53 million USD, accounting for 16.8% of the total turnover. In May of 2023 alone, the figure increased by 11% compared to April of 2023 but decreased by 23.9% compared to May of 2022, reaching 16.13 million USD.
The Malaysian market ranked third in turnover, reaching 42.85 million USD, a strong increase of 33.9% over the same period last year. In May of 2023 alone, the figure decreased by 7% compared to April of 2023 but increased by 15.7% compared to May 2022, reaching 9.59 million USD.
Animal feed exports to the FTA-RCEP market in the first 5 months of 2023 decreased by 5% over the same period, reaching 353.38 million USD, accounting for 82.9% of the total turnover, while the exports to the CPTTP market increased by 0.2% over the same period, reaching 53.21 million USD, accounting for 12.5% of the total turnover. The exports to the Southeast Asian market increased by 4.8% over the same period, reaching 140.98 million USD, accounting for 33%.
