The winning projects of this phase of FECON are foundation construction and underground works. The most typical is the construction package of the item "Cooling water intake and pump house" of Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Power Plant Projects worth VND192 billion. This is the deep underground item that is considered difficult to construct and has the most complex nature of the project.
Besides, FECON won other great value bidding packages such as the construction package of concrete embankment under Cau Hon Project worth more than VND59.7 billion in Phu Quoc; Construction package of D1200 soil cement pile under Royal Group Headquarters project (in Cambodia) worth more than VND22.2 billion or Piling production and pressing package at Clubhouse Vung Bau project (Phu Quoc) worth 12.2 billion copper.
In addition, FECON also recorded many other subcontracting packages in many typical projects across the country such as Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Plant Project, Vinhomes Gardenia Project (Hanoi)...
Thus, accumulated since the beginning of the year, FECON has won bidding packages with a total value of nearly VND800 billion. However, the Group said, it will continue to maintain the view of selecting projects to participate in bidding and implementing construction, ensuring the best resources for projects, not winning bids at all costs despite the payment risks. This is considered a safe solution in the context that lending interest rates of banks are still high and cash flow in the market continues to be difficult.
In 2023, although the construction market is still quiet, but FECON said that it will still promote investment and application of new technology in construction works with high requirements for quality and progress.
