Exports to Netherlands reached 2.36 billion USD in first 4 months of 2023
Wednesday, May 17,2023AsemconnectVietnam - According to the statistics figures of the General Department of Customs, the export turnover of Vietnamese goods to the Netherlands in April of 2023 reached 796 million USD, down by 9.6% compared to the previous month.
The figures of the first 4 months of this year totaled 3.15 billion USD, up by 1% over the same period last year.
Leading the export turnover in the first four months of 2023 was the following commodity groups: computers, electronic products and components with 707.7 million USD, down by 19.6% over the same period last year, accounting for 22.4% of the total export share. The next was the group of machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts with 650.1 million USD, up by 35.2% over the same period last year, accounting for 20.6% proportion.
And then was the group of phones and components with 433.3 million USD, up by 106.2 %, accounting for 13.7% of the total proportion.
A number of items have an increase in export turnover to the Dutch market in the first four months of 2023 compared to the same period last year: fruits and vegetables increased by 72.4%; other common metals and products increased by 347%; rice increased by 43.5%; coal increased by 872.4%.

Great cooperation opportunities in the field of vegetable, fruit and vegetable trade are concentrated in cooperation relationships with Dutch traders - where the volume of imports from developing countries has grown quite strongly in recent years. For a long time, the Netherlands has been considered as the gateway to the EU market, the leading transshipment place of Europe and the world, for vegetables, tubers and fruits. In particular, the EVFTA is bringing many new opportunities for Vietnamese and Dutch businesses.
